Short Biography
An accomplished management generalist currently serving as an Administrative Assistant at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. I am pursuing a Master of Business Administration (Strategic Management) at the University of Embu and hold a Bachelor of Commerce (Management Science) from Kisii University, along with a qualification in Pharmaceutical Technology from the Technical University of Mombasa. I have a strong interest in quality assurance, management sciences, and global affairs.
In my current role, I provide vital administrative and secretarial support to the Office of the Chairman of the Department, including offering secretarial services to meetings Chaired by the Chairman of the Department, drafting minutes and memos, and ensuring smooth office operations. I manage office supplies, provide general administrative assistance, and coordinate key academic and operational processes such as preparing payment analysis for part time lecturers, requesting for payment of marking assistants and updating departmental lecturer’s data base. My experience includes data analysis, quality assurance at the department, and customer service. I have also successfully contributed to several USAID-funded programs, gaining valuable expertise in donor and partner management. I am passionate about supporting the university’s strategic initiatives, driving operational excellence, and enhancing service delivery within the academic environment at the departmental level.
