Name: Ouma O. Felix
I was awarded first-class honors in Bachelor of Science Statistics in the 2022 award and conferment of degrees of the University of Embu. The university then advertised for application of scholarships. I applied for the scholarship as advertised and attached all the required documents. My application was approved and I was notified through an email for the approval in January 2023. I was enrolled for a Master of Science in Statistics with classes starting from February 2023. I thank God for the favor and also the University of Embu for their consideration.
My fascination with data and its ability to reveal hidden patterns and trends steered me towards Statistics and extends to applying statistical methods to design and analyze studies investigating disease outbreaks, treatment efficacy, and public health interventions. Statistics plays a crucial role in understanding and addressing public health challenges, ultimately improving the well-being of communities.
