Just like any mammal nourishes her young ones with paramount growth resources, the University of Embu (UoEm) via its experts in the arena of Mathematical Sciences played a key role in the academic and scholarly heightening of Mr. Kinyili. In 2017, Mr. Kinyili obtained his Bachelor’s degree First Class honours from the UoEm. This engineered the game-changer to Master of Science in Applied Mathematics fully funded by the UoEm postgraduate scholarship program. Two years down the line, the academic journey was amazing with full-fruitful interactions with Mathematicians in the Department. On top of supervision and academic advices, it was more of mentorship, scholar-nurturing and opportunity open-up. In 2019-2021(early), Mr. Kinyili had an opportunity to Tutor/Lecture several mathematical courses for undergraduate students at UoEm where he actually mentored many students changing their academic focuses to scholarly success direction. Real Mathematical skills and knowledge acquired necessitating Mr. Kinyili’s academic achievements, licensed him to be selected among the Six Doctorial candidates in the Sub-Saharan Africa who were awarded the DAAD Germany Academic Exchange Service In-Region Ph.D Scholarship in Mathematics 2020 based in South Africa and articulated to the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS). In 2021, Mr. Kinyili up-took the DAAD Ph.D candidature scholarship hosted by the University of the Western Cape (UWC), South Africa. He is undertaking his Doctoral study in Epidemiological Modelling. Mr. Kinyili has published several papers and presented in international conferences. He strongly believes that his research niche is on the right trajectory.
