Short Biography
Maurice Wanyonyi is a Tutorial Fellow in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Embu and a Ph.D. candidate in Statistics. He has a strong foundation in statistical theory, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics (First-Class Honours) and a Master of Science in Statistics, both from the University of Embu.
He has extensive experience in university teaching, research, statistical consulting, curriculum development, and student supervision. His research interests include statistical modeling, survival analysis, explainable artificial intelligence, and machine learning, with applications in health, agriculture, climate, and economic analytics.
Maurice has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and is an active contributor to interdisciplinary research, academic publishing, and capacity building in data analysis and AI-enhanced teaching and learning.
